Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement re\u00e7u, lundi 25 novembre 2024, par le pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique, <strong>Ka\u00efs Sa\u00efed<\/strong>, au Palais de Carthage. Safer succ\u00e8de \u00e0 <strong>Zouhair Mejri<\/strong>, qui avait occup\u00e9 ce poste depuis le 8 mars 2024, une p\u00e9riode relativement courte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans un communiqu\u00e9, la pr\u00e9sidence de la R\u00e9publique a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance strat\u00e9gique du corps de la Douane, historiquement int\u00e9gr\u00e9 aux forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 int\u00e9rieure avant de devenir une entit\u00e9 distincte sous la tutelle du minist\u00e8re des Finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le pr\u00e9sident Ka\u00efs Sa\u00efed a saisi cette occasion pour rappeler le r\u00f4le fondamental de la Douane dans la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale.
